News about International Fake Journal Month 2026

OK, things happen. I explain what happened on RozWoundUp in this post.

Still no public celebration as I've done in past years, but I did make a digital button (above) and a tagline.

If you elect to participate remember that you do not need to make your journal conform to the tagline for the year—the tagline is always only  a guide to get you to start thinking about your character. It's something that popped into my head after I wrote my previous post on RWU. It seems appropriate. Perhaps it will resonate with your character's life?

I won't be posting my journal until the project is over. I need to conserve my energy for the project.

If you post your journal publicly, either during the month or at the end of April I would love it if you would send me a link so I can see it. If there's enough interest (and I can remember how, as I've not worked in blogger in years) I'll add links in a column here, in May. (You can contact me by making a comment on this post, or by going to RWU and sending me a note through the contact form on that blog.)

If you post publicly you can use the #IFJM2026.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great month (and year for that matter) journaling how ever you want to journal.
