2019 IFJM Celebration
IFJM has been suspended indefinitely. Please read the pinned post about this below.

Participants who Post Their Journals
A list of 2018 participants who are posting their fake journals this year will appear near the top of the right side bar of this blog around April 6. Lists of participants who posted their pages in 2010 through 2017 appear lower in the same column. Please pay them a visit and check out their fake journals.

Roz's 2009 fake journal takes place in an alternate Twin Cites, where disease has killed the human and bird populations. (It ends up being an upbeat tale of friendship.) Watch a video flip through of Roz's 2009 fake journal here.

News about International Fake Journal Month 2026

OK, things happen. I explain what happened on RozWoundUp in this post.

Still no public celebration as I've done in past years, but I did make a digital button (above) and a tagline.

If you elect to participate remember that you do not need to make your journal conform to the tagline for the year—the tagline is always only  a guide to get you to start thinking about your character. It's something that popped into my head after I wrote my previous post on RWU. It seems appropriate. Perhaps it will resonate with your character's life?

I won't be posting my journal until the project is over. I need to conserve my energy for the project.

If you post your journal publicly, either during the month or at the end of April I would love it if you would send me a link so I can see it. If there's enough interest (and I can remember how, as I've not worked in blogger in years) I'll add links in a column here, in May. (You can contact me by making a comment on this post, or by going to RWU and sending me a note through the contact form on that blog.)

If you post publicly you can use the #IFJM2026.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great month (and year for that matter) journaling how ever you want to journal.
